Mission
Legal Services Alabama was formed in 2004 through the merger of three longstanding legal aid organizations to strengthen and expand access to civil legal assistance across the state. The organization’s mission is centered on ensuring equal access to justice for low-income Alabamians by providing free civil legal services in all 67 counties. As the only nonprofit law firm in Alabama dedicated exclusively to delivering free civil legal aid statewide, it plays a critical role in supporting underserved communities.
